Offen ist sexy

DE: Egal ob Muttersprachler*in oder nicht, dieses Buch liefert tolle Ideen, wie man im Bett (und außerhalb) besser kommunizieren kann. Dabei geht es nicht nur um Begriffe für Handlungen und Körperteile, sondern auch darum, wie man Wertschätzungen ausdrückt und Grenzen aufzeigt. Also um etwas, worüber sich jede*r mal Gedanken machen sollte. Dass das auch schön sein kann, zeigt dieses kleine Buch ganz wunderbar. Werde ich definitiv weiter empfehlen!

ENG: Whether you are a german native speaker or not, this book provides great ideas and inspiration on how to communicate better in bed (and out of it). It's not just about terms for specific acts and body parts, but also about how to show appreciation and express/confirm boundaries. Basically, a topic everyone should spend some time thinking about. This little book shows that doing so doesn't have to be a core, but can indeed be beautiful and people may have fun while doing so. I will definitely further recommend the book!

Cute, unique, inclusive

ENG: This cute little zine is a wonderful inspiration for non-native speakers to make use of the german language when it comes to pillow talk – with an emphasis on sex-positivity and inclusion. Native speakers could find this little gem interesting too in case they need little nudge thinking and talking about what turns them on and what doesn't.
The illustrations are really charming and celebrate human sexuality and different gender expressions.

About the Artists

Mercedes von Kulessa

When Mercedes (dey/she) isn't writing guidebooks for sexual conversations, dey teach German as a foreign language.

As the founder of QUEER_gesprochen?!, she thinks a lot about how to formulate language in a gender-neutral and diversity-sensitive way. Dey offer individual and group courses for language learners as well as teachers, and has also developed teaching materials on the topic of gender-neutral language.

Rory Midhani

Painter & illustrator Rory Midhani makes artwork about queer and trans people living their lives and loving it. He creates mixed-media pieces, paintings, and drawings all which playfully celebrate the lives of the queer community.

His artworks have been featured in publications and exhibitions across Europe and North America, and he has worked as an illustrator for an international client base. Past clients include Buzzfeed, Medium, Folx Health, Transgender Europe, Flow Magazine, Curve, Siegessäule, Planned Parenthood and Autostraddle.
