As a racialized migrant woman living in Spain, tarot is part of my daily care practice. This deck moved me in ways I didn't expect. For the first time, I felt someone had opened a window in a visual tradition that has long been shaped almost exclusively by White-European imagery.

The people on these cards (Black, Indigenous, and Polynesian) are not included as tokens of diversity. They inhabit the tarot with dignity, depth, and presence. Every image carries memory, grief, resilience, and beauty. Some cards brought me back to my childhood and the faces of my ancestors; others invited me to sit with inherited wounds that still live in my body.
This is a deck that can hurt. And that is precisely what makes it so healing.
If I had to describe what this tarot has become for me, I would call it an adaptogen for my spirituality, one that gently reminds me who I am. Living in a world where spirituality is still often imagined through whiteness, that constantly asks us to adapt to symbols, images, and languages that have too often erased our histories, this deck does the opposite: it creates a spiritual space where our memories belong, unapologetically.
I can't think of higher praise. Because sometimes healing begins with something as simple, and as immense, as turning over a card and recognizing a face that could have belonged to your own family.

This is what my soul has been longing for. I am so thankful I came across this. The cards are beautiful. The guidebook is beautiful. Truly, the universe wanted me to have this.
The deck is very well-designed but the way it was shipped ruined it slightly.
I ordered several esoteric decks (from different sellers) around the same time. However, this order from Polar Embassy was shipped to the USA. It was left at my front step in a regular, small and thin cardboard box with no other protective material inside or around the item. There was a huge thunderstorm while I was out and the deck container and cards got every bit of rain, while the other sellers' decks had a protective plastic/shrink-wrap around the deck itself and/or was in bubble mailers (keeping the items dry).
My Ancestral Healing cards were soaking wet: I had to remove the cards and booklet from their box (which is also thin paper and started tearing due to the water), and then had to fan and/or dry everything under my candle warmer for almost 2 days. Beautiful deck but a negative customer experience sadly.

I am so sorry to hear that the weather and delivery location resulted in a wet deck, I know how disappointing that must have been.
We made a conscious decision to have a strict no-plastic policy to keep PE as low-waste as possible. Your experience shows us that we still have work to do to better weather-proof shipments for long-haul international journeys.
I hope to have more robust biodegradable solutions soon, but until then, to make up for your experience, I’ve added a credit to your account. If you ever decide to explore another deck from us in the future, I hope this goes some way toward making up for the rough start with this one.
